PON is a mineral based (soil-free and inorganic) substrate made of four ingredients: zeolite, pumice, lava rock and slow release fertilizer granules .It helps prevent pests like fungus gnats and fungus. It allows for a balanced nutrient distribution when fertilizing, and it has the optimal air/water ratio for plants of 45% water and 55% air.
