COCO COIR

Coco Coir comes from the outer husk of a coconut. It may be a more sustainable alternative to peat moss. It has a more neutral PH than the more acidic peat moss. A great base that helps retain moisture. It is highly porous, allowing air and water to flow freely through the soil, which is critical for Aroids that require well-draining soil. It is also pH-neutral, providing a stable environment for your plants to grow.

DOUGLAS FIR BARK

It is fantastic at aerating soil, resisting compaction, and providing drainage in a substrate mix. It increases water retention to a degree, which in turn helps to boost ambient humidity,

PERLITE

It enhances soil drainage and prevents compaction. It holds air pockets to allow drainage and breathability to your soil, thereby reducing the risk of root rot. Perlite also aids in aeration, allowing roots to breathe and grow more efficiently. It can also retain water long enough for even water dispersion into the soil. Furthermore, perlite can retain nutrients in those air cavities to help provide constant nutrients for the root system.

ZEOLITE

Zeolite is a natural mineral that is commonly used in potting mixes to improve soil aeration and moisture retention. Zeolite helps to improve soil structure and provide a stable environment for plant roots. It also helps to absorb excess nutrients and prevent soil compaction.

HORTICULTURAL CHARCOAL/WORM CASTINGS

Charcoal absorbs excess water from the roots of your plant and keeps the soil “sweet” by guarding against bacteria, fungus and rot. Worm castings are a natural, organic fertilizer for your plants. They add essential nutrients and important trace minerals to the mix. As worms digest organic matter, their castings (poop) break down into nutrients and minerals that plants can readily absorb. It provides an all-natural, 100% organic, highly effective fertilizer that will not burn your plants.
